NSC of Italy has repeated a significant step improvement in Plug and Abandonment by completing preparations for cementing in one trip using the latest generation technology from Wellbore Integrity and Tomax.
The string consisted of the Wellbore Integrity 5500 ProMILL for bridge plug setting, section milling and underreaming in one trip. This combo then had the latest generation Tomax XC-AST made up on top the same way as in open-hole drilling and under-reaming. The milling progress was very fast and revealed a big efficiency gain that was confirmed by a corresponding reduction in vibration. The latter was key to keep all tools in the BHA safe and ready for subsequent operations.
